Depending on how well you follow me around the web, you may have noticed i already talked about these over here
I am way to eager to make some of these insanely cute decorations with my own recycled scrappy visions by using old clothing scraps. baby’s favorite dress with too many stains to wear, jeans that daddy cant fit into, or your favorite bleach splattered tshirt from childhood vacation.Yah i still have a few. tried to make bee wear them, but they dont have hannah montana, so its a no-go.
During our movie nights (which is tonight) we usually both end up doing something, fiddling with something i mean, while watching the tv. I will create the fabric decorations, and i will set bee up with these…
There is a tutorial if you click on the picture, but because its small hands, and we will have random beads, i may alter things a bit. BHG basically sticks bead covered pins into a small bit of cork… but do i really want her pushing pins. not sure. They offer a suggestion for kids to use pipecleaners and a styrofoam ball… but we dont use condone the use of pipecleaners in our house. sick. lol
Im thinking…
take a string of wire and create a ball/knot. cut 5 strands of wire all same length. push each peice right through, and twist around the center knot once both sides are even. String on some beads, and then wrap a knot at the end of each … flake arm? point? what do you call the tips of the flakes??
We are still waiting on our list for the Kids Card Swap, but thats okay because we have yet to decide on a card. I went out and bought styrofoam plates (woo to $0.88) thinking we would do the etching thing… but havent yet.
Looks like we have a lot to do after work tonight, including packing up some more guys + tees to bring over to Rarefunk.
how will i fit it all in…

These are lovely and has made me want to create my own tree decorations this year. The kids and I are ready to make a start on them tomorrow. Thanks for the tips!
